Open Question: What site (or sites) offers the best way to look up your genealogy/trace back family members?




   The best one I have found is myheritage.com (I found my great grandparents and some of my grandmother's siblings) but I'd like to broaden my horizons, you could say.

I've found it very hard to find any sites that offer much for free, it's all about subscriptions and whatnot... which is my biggest problem, I need a site that offers the basics for free. My family is prodominantly Irish, if that helps any.
